Mrs Howe, & Katie in in eve. Friday December 12 Very quiet & pleasant tho' colder Mer 10°+ at 8 o,c, A.M. stood 2°+ at noon, & only rose to 4°+ in P.M. but not seeming as bad as yesterday. All as usual, except that Lena's shoulder is more sore, but so she did chores, & sewing for herself, I worked some on Tidy & kept busy at little jobs, did little ironing first of P.M. Mrs Howe bro't my muff to me. December 13 Pleasant - (except strong s-wind) Mer 15°+ at 8 o,c, A.M. & rose to 31°+ in P.M. Lena feeling about sick from sore shoulder & feeling pretty well self, I helped about work, swept s-room "thoro", mixed bread & did little chores, she at work on her sacque in P.M. I was in to see Clyde & Rose awhile in P.M. & with them in to Mrs Howe few minutes. Ellery in early
