May 1900 Sun. 27. Fair [thor], A.M. - showery and cooler. P.M and Evg. Union service at our ch. Morn and Evg. Elder Steward both times. Croded to full capacity morn. C. staid home. Mon. 28. Cooler.Thunder storm in night. Viewed Eclipse morn. Severe pain in left eye most all day (from early morn.), wearing off Evg. 4 gr. [illegible]. Could not do much work. Let out hok vine Evg. Tues. 29. Fair and warm. A most beautiful morning. Hoe and moved some. Rather busy at office. Now feeling very well. Right eye does no fit class now. Painters finished. Warm [illegible] a while Evg. Wed. 30. Beautiful day. A.M. Memorial. Excercises P.M. W. S. Hart made an eloguent address. Hoed and mowed, morn and evg. That troublesome molar howling, evg. Thurs. 31. Nice day, a little cooler. Hoed and mowed and put on screens. Quiet at office. Down town a while Evg. Fri. 1. June. Fair, W. wind and cotton an awful nuisance. Scrubbing day at offices. Woman washed windows and florr. I oiled floor. Planted Evergreen Corn, hoed and mowed, etc. Folks all at musical Evg. Sat. 2. 50 degrees Cloudy. N.W. wind. Fair P.M. but cool. Hoed [illegible] morning. Downtown a while Evg.
