Bloomfield Iowa August 25th 1856, Dear Clara; I have seen the masters and you will have the refusal of one of the school rooms. They want you to Come and teach here the worst kind, Br. Dunn says that you must Come by all means. I got home on Sunday evening just in time to hear the peroration of Mr. Ross' lecture, it was good I wish you were here to hear him, his lectures are full of logic and native eloquence, Blame me not Clara for doing that which I Cannot help. My heart Compells me to give it vent, and if I should withhold the very stones would Cry out.
