I have never been in Bloomfield since I came from Ohio but I got vexed, because I heard so much, it seemed to me I was watched & all I said or done was told you & your replyes repeated to me, & perhaps a good deal more. Now I hope you are satisfied of the fact that I am still a true friend of yours, just as I always have been, & that what I said was only as a caution, With refference to my going to B, I really thought it would cause you more inconvenience than it would me pleasure, as I could only stay from saturday until Monday. And although it might be pleasant when I went up it might be too cold for me to come home on Monday, & the school requires me to be here all the time. Mr Hopkins of course could have my place supplied until I returned
