Blooomfield Iowa March 29th 1858. Dear Clara: Your letter came duly to hand, and I should have answerd before now, but I was prevented on yesterday on account of being out of envelops, and it being Sunday I could not get any. Please excuse me for not writing sooner. Clara, I do think I have gained a "great point" But this matter has been on hand so long, and has been the source of so much anguish and disquietude to me, that I would like to have the troubled waters calmed. You say you think I have changed in my feelings towards you,
