The people up here will be well hoaxed, for if we do not marry before the first day of September, they will begin to think that we never will, wont they? Please excuse me now, for not writing a longer letter for I want to hear from you before I write much, for you know I answered your last one by presenting myself in person to you, which I hope was a good deal better than a letter, or any thing I could possibly write. Now let me hear from you on Saturday evening without fail. God bless your soul. J. B. Weaver I will try and write you a good letter next time. Jim
