I have walked in a thorny path & beneath a cloudy sky for a good while, but "That thorny path, those cloudy skies, Have drawn our spirits nearer, And rendered us, by holiest ties, Each to the other dearer." That thorny path is past, and those gloomy clouds have, like the veil that was thrown over the blazing shrine of Isis, been scattered and destroyed by a splendour which they could not over shadow. O, Clara, let us be devoted christians. Give your whole heart to god, dear girl, and I will do the same. How did you and S.W. get along?
