most through. I think it is an excellent book, & agree with the author almost entirely. it has strengthened me in a good many good resolutions. I think he would elevate woman to her proper position & then there would be a general reformation of both sex. Since I read it I feel determined that what little influence I may have shall be exerted on the right side (or side of right - which is it) & to cultivate all that is good, true, pure & intellectual in my nature, for although my sphere in life may be comparitively secluded, & limited yet I may have an influence on some one destined to make the world feel they have lived, & I would have it lived well. O how glad I am there is one ever ready to encourage or discourage, approve or disapprove me whenever necessary. You seem to be in excellent spirits - well I suppose you did enjoy that evening vastly, but never mind I shall not soon forget it. Well I must confess I felt
