a father to you, and your friend in time of need, as you do, and any kindness which I may be able to show him in return, will be gladly bestowed, your feelings and interests are mine; Whatsoever I can do, to assist you to pay a debt of gratatude will; in every instance be gladly bestowed; not simply because it is my duty to do it, but because I love to do so. Mr Groom & Mrs Rolona were married this morning, sure enough. Well, that is all right I guess. Court is in session & I am very busy, so you will excuse the appearance of this letter for I am writing it just as fast as I can.
