Bloomfield Iowa June 11th 1858 Dear Clara, Your note (which is hereby returned) of the 10th inst came to hand this morning & it placed me in a very unhappy state of mind. Clara, I have one request to make of you. It is this. Please do not hurt my feelings anymore. I will take it as a great act of kindness if you will not. Please stab them no more, [and?] oblige him who loves you. J. B. Weaver.
