mean to the floor but quite low, & if it is not too late, have it pretty well toward the west side of the lot so the most of the yard will be to the east where it will be shady in the afternoon & then you know it would be so nice to have a door in the large room which you dotted off, to the east, also one in the bedroom which is dotted, but if it is too late it dont make a bit of difference, & I am perfectly willing to be guided by your judgment. But dont go to any more expense than you can see your way out clear, my motto is commence low but rise, & then there is no danger of a fall, Mrs Miller & I had been talking before your letter came and us going to Mt. P & we had concluded it was an unnecessary expense, so I am glad you like the idea, & there is another idea I like which is I want to teach one term after I go to Bloomfield, I want
