Keosauqua July 5/58 Mr Weaver, My own, my dearest friend I have just read your letter over the second time, & surely was never any thing so strange as you not getting my letter. I wrote it partly tuesday evening & finished wednesday morning & then as we, that is Mary & Nan Allen & I went to Bro Keys, we stoped at the office & I gave the letter to Allen to endorse as we had no ink at Nans, & he went into the office but we staid out at the road, so whether he did send it or not I do not know, it certainly is strange all our letters should have
