14 May 1943 Dearest: Early morning flight scheduled so I have a moment here while waiting for the pilot to come up. I've gone over my sectional maps, charted the flight, figured out the course, checked the magnetic heading, variation and deviation. I have the metro weather at 1000 foot levels from stations ahead. Flight orders. Gotta go. The crew chief will mail this so that it will carry my love, B.J.
