no they tell me it's the 6th June 1943 Hello, dearest: Another day on the ground! I'm beginning to feel almost rested up. Did I tell you that Dad is going to the hospital tomorrow for an operation. He wanted very much to have me with him but the army said I could go only if he were dead or dying. Pretty rough. I think he'll come along okay for he's been in good health and is a tough little man. Ken's wife is (or should be) in Toledo so there'll be some-one there with him.
