Home, Jan, 11th, 1870 My Dear Aunt Emma, Mama didn't have time to help me answer your letter for such a long while as you musnt' feel bad for when I get "bigger" I will do better. I have got two dolls and their names are Minnie and Carrie, but Charlie pulled Carrie off the table and broke her neck so I have only Minnie to play with. Uncle Lee is here but I is afraid he will go away before long. I want him to stay with me so bad. I help mama sometimes when I get I am going to sew for her on the machine, Did you know she had one? Well she has, just like Aunt [Ghors?]
