New York Jan. 18th, 1872 Dear Pa & Ma; This child is glad as she can be to be able to write you again. I've got so much to tell you (if I don't get too tired) that I don't know where to begin. Of course Baby comes first. She is just the wisest, brightest, best, most wonderful baby in the state. I might add a dozen other appropriate adjectives but I don't want to astonish you too much over the nice qualities of our baby. She laughs at us already and as Frank says "could talk only she doesn't want UPPER MARGIN:
