Chariton, Iowa, October 13th, 1893. My dear Nellie, Your letter just received. I am afraid I cannot do anything for you. We have a stenographer in the office, the Son of Mr Stuart my partner, and we cannot keep him busy these dull times. Just now the Schools are full and I do not know what I could do, that would give you a place - I should think you ought to go to school for a time yet and that your Father would aid you in obtaining the best education of the day - Now is the time for such work, if you can do it - I would try your Papa for a (chance?) to go to school, for a time yet, With love, Your Uncle O.
