Camp Montgomery Miss near Corinth July 17/62 Dear Father, I recieved yours of the 7 in due time also the one by Col Hall and also the one by Mr Parker and the paper of the 11th, last Sunday I was over to the 16th Reg. and saw Col Sanders also Col. Hall who was there on a visit, and Frazier & Williams and Parker & Spearing I did not know that Henry Bowling had got back or would of seen him they have better health now than they had some time ago Cap. Frazier told me that the most of the men that had died were the ones that had had the measles last spring. I am well, and the health of the regiment is good, but their clothes are to well ventilated for their good appearance in fact our regt. is the raggedest
