last sunday I was over to the 16th Iowas camp to see Henry Bowling but they had all gone, but the sutler Henry had gone with them, we will be payed next tuesday then I will send by express, &c I am well and enjoy the service much better than last summer, it has been rather warm the last four days, but as we dont do much during the middle of the day we get along very well the health of the regiment is very good send the list of prices of the things that you send down and if you can get another piece of cord I wish you would, send the price of Lieut Bings Pants and he will pay me, about two weeks ago W.O. Ludlow payed me that S10.00 that he owed you he has charge of the Post office in Corinth and I was in there he just handed it to me without my saying a word about it. I havenot sayed anything to him about it since we left St Louis so it came rather unexpected and as I was out of money, very handy. If they commence to draft the 600,000 men this month
