Resinzi Miss. Oct 27 /62 Dear Father I recieved yours of the 21st this morning the one of the 20th on Friday. we are still here. last Saturday we had a snow storm down here it snowed about 1 1/2 inches our contrabands say they never knew it to snow so early here before good for the Sunny South. then I was on Picquet guard on Sunday and at night it was rather cool for a warm cuntry, to day it is quite pleasant, and the snow is all gone. there is sume talk in camp about T. I. Makinney being appointed Col of our regiment. as to putting R. M. Littler into
