Pulaski Tenn. Dec. 18th 1863 Dear Father I sent some money home by express last weak also Same day a letter the money ($115.) I sent up to Nashville by one of the officers from Hd Qrs. he didnot pay the express charges. down here at present there is quite an excitement in the oldest Regiments about reenlisting as veterans I think that our regiment (or the biggest part will go in again and) will be filled up we will find out within a fiew days and if we do, we will be sent up to Iowa to be filled up. So if you have not sent my new clothes down yet dont send them until you hear from me again. if they have been
