sent I will not leave here before they come down. I will of cource go up with the company, and will be the Captain. I would not place to much expectations on our comeing up until you see us there, for there is many a slip between the cup and lip, the personage in the slip of paper is laid to me by the staff officers at our head quarters, as it occured while I was on the road down from Nashville but it was not me. So I can enjoy the joke as well as the rest of them I havenot received a letter for some time. Yours &c Geo. F. Hall
