Pulaski Tenn. Feb. 10th 1864. Dear Father, I recd yours of the 1st on the 8th. All quiet here as well as on the Potomac. I have been very busy latley hardly time to write except business letters. the weather is splended the grass is comeing up, and enclosed is a yellow flower that I picked on the grass plot in our frunt yard today noon. it does not seam much like winter here, for there are so many evergreen trees, and the weather so comfortable. enclosed is the potograph of Lieut. J. H. Conant, a first rate fellow and as his captain says you can hear him smile a half mile
