AUTOUR DU MONDE 9, QUAI DU 4-SEPTEMBRE, 9 BOULOGNE-SUR-SEINE TEL. AUTEUIL 02-35 France We saw some of the loveliest parts of France in Alsace. The country really is beautiful - steep rolling hills, thickly tree-clad; plains of alternating knee-deep grass and cultivated strips; meandering clear streams; and delightful summery weather which cooled the whole landscape into a fragrant bower of blossoms; and tree-lined roads. We also saw a few scars left from the war - holes dug in the ground; a few ruins - but most of the area has been reconstructed and the scars have been erased or grown over. We spent two nights at Haut-Barr, an inn perched right upon the top of a thickly wooded hill among the ruins
