be when we finally take off here - and when we reach N.Y I suppose we shall have hysterics - and when we get home I am afraid we shall be mad with joy. Both Van and I are so tired that we can't enjoy things as we should anymore, and I suppose the last few days we shall sit around waiting for the boat to sail - what else could we do upon such an occassion? The time for our departure from England still remains the same - next Friday at 6:42 we leave South Hampton and arrive in N.Y. Sept. 1. As soon after that as we possibly can we shall be on our way to Waverly - our first stop. this will be the last letter which I shall write you from abroad. The next one will reach you Sept 3 or 4 and will be mailed as soon as we know what is what in N.Y. Probably we shall have to remain in N.Y. several days, probably less but not any longer than is necessary. I'm completely sick of big cities
