111 Front of Petersburg, Va. (Left Flank) Sunday, Sept 11th 1864. In lieu of the 5 lbs Coffee due us I received 80 lbs Potatoes, which the boys enjoyed. Monday 12th Received a letter from Miss Lowe, in which she enclosed a News paper clipping giving an account of Henry T. Kendall, Captain Telford and others who are under fire of our Gun Boats at Charleston, S.C. Tuesday 13th Helped the Adjutant make out monthly reports. Helped the Sutler this morning. The Brigade Commissary move his quarters up to the Brigade
