165 Fort McGilvery, Va. Wednesday, Jan'y 4, 1865 Made out monthly reports of Clothing and Camp and Garrison Equipage, for Company F. Inspected the Company. Snow fell - about one inch. Thursday 5th During the day made out some Monthly reports. Was detailed for Picket tonight and tomorrow. Weather pleasant all day. Friday 6th On Picket duty last night and today, in charge of the line directly in front of our regiment and the 1st Michigan. Everything quiet along our front. Saturday 7th Wrote several letters, and then took a good rest.
