206 Monday, April 17th 1865 Received from Lieut. Col. Wm. H. Telford the following certificate: to be used when I am Mustered as Adjutant viz - - "Head Quarters 50th P. V. V. Browders Crossing, Va., April 17th 1865 I certify that there is a vacancy existing in the 50th P.V.V. as Adjutant, caused by the Muster out of Henry T. Kendall, February 11th 1865, and that the strength of the Regiment entitles it to an Adjutant. sgd Wm. H. Telford Lieut. Col. Commdg Regt A dispatch was received yesterday announcing the death of President Abraham Lincoln - Every one seems to feel exceedingly sad over the news.
