208 Camp 50th Reg't. P.V.V., near Alexandria, Va., April 25. 1865 After leaving Browder's Crossing, we marched to City Point, where we were put on Transports and run down the James river to the Chesapeak bay then up the Potomac River to Aqua Creek, from there we marched, passing over the Bull Run battle field, via Centerville and Fairfax Court House. Bought a beautiful Gold watch from one of Company D's men, for which I gave him my silver watch and $40 00 making the watch cost me $80 00. Made out Report of Camps and Garrison Equipage for month of March -
