229 I.O.O.F. July 13th 1882 I was initiated as a member of the Indipendent Order of Odd Fellows, (Reading Lodge #348) When Vigilance Lodge was organised, I withdrew my card and became a charter member of that Lodge. Not wishing to hold office I have invariabley remained away from the meeting during the election seasons. During the sessions of the Grand Lodge, in this city in 188 , I was appointed one of the Aids on the Grand Marshall's staff. Columbus day Oct. 20. 1892 Was aide to the Chief Marshall, Capt. R. H. Savage, and had charge of the 5th division formed on N.3d right at Penn st.
