committee to see the Adjutant General of our state and he promised to correct it and set the thing strait again, but we were too late for the last draft, I will be satisfied if he corrects in time for the next draft. I attended two parties last week,- had a nice time saw all the folks and assisted in eating up their sweet cakes. I was also invited to attend another but circumstances forbid my going, so I wished them much enjoyment and contented myself by staying at home. When we have parties we concentrate for a distance of ten or twelve miles, being scarce of "young timber"
