twenty thousand Cavalry and Mounted Infantry- If that is the case they would put old Hood to considerable of trouble if he should make a breake up this way- There is a division of Cavalry at Louisville- they have been pressing every horse they can find there to mount them. the folks there that kept their fine teams had to let them go- even took the horses out of the milk-wagons and Street-cars- The guerillas havent been in here after us yet, dont think they will come- they dont like to get around where there is danger of some of them getting hurt- was some down along the railroad to day- they cut down several of the telegraph poles- eight of Co B went down with the man who fixes up the wires to keep the guerillas from catching him,,, Capt Horton went down to Louisville last Thursday and has not come back yet. Spect he is going to stay down there
