wager you an "oyster supper" that it comes in, dare you take that, excuse me perhaps you dont bet - (oysters-) I am just now the recipient of an invitation to attend a nice party to be given at Mr Browns on tomorrow evening. I think I shall attend as Mr P. is a special friend. I am told that many ladies are to be there. My Morning Sun "lady friends." Had I better go slow, and play backward and reserved, or had I better make myself familiar and very sociable? I scarcely know what course to pursue. Well I can better judge after I see "how the land lays". I, like a good boy, stayed at home on Christmas, and "old Nick Santy" filled my
