have joined you in the Oyster dinner. I&'m perticerly fond o&'the critters. aint had a mess for five years I guess. Perhaps you think I&'m scase of monies - but that is not the reason. They&'re not so good when you have to pay for them yourself. Was at Church to most peoples there (Cumberland Church). I spect if you&'d been there you&'d have seen lots you knew. I am the "Leader of Choir" and as a natural result, there is good music. There is nothing new to communicate that I know of now. There appears to be no news in town except a little Street Gossip which is too disgusting to be worthy of note. I think the notice of your wedding day is by no means definite if it does not take place till the time stated in your letter, and your sweet-heart will grow gray with waiting. If Kate had given me no more satisfaction than that I would have thought that married life with me was very far distant. But perhaps you talk a different language to him. As to
