Kate is sitting by the fire nursing Eva Jane. Kate has a very sore breast, 'fraid its going gather, Hope however it wont. Mother Grim is here to day with Kate. She is going to say till Tuesday. Wish you'd come and nurse her about a week. Think she'd get well. I dont want you to scold me for not writing sooner I'll try and do better next time. You will excuse Kate until she gets well and then she'll tell you all about matters. I want you to come in and see us and if our little responsibility lives you will doubtless see one of the finest little girls in all your acquaintance. I have exhausted my stock of material for letters and will have to wait till I recruit. Mother says that Uncle Abner and Aunt Moriah will be here this week if so, I will have the pleasure of forming an acquaintances with more of my Western relatives. Now I do not want you to follow my example, but write as soon as you can and I will be more punctual in the future. Mrs Dr Hawkins is here this afternoon you know her I suppose I'll close From your sincere friend and nephew Jm C. Kendall. To Aunt Tillie
