Most of the time mud has been at a fearful depth and consistency, making it a question for solemn consideration, wether you should venture beyond the limits of your tent, and run the risk of being mired and swallowed up entirely, or remain theirin, and suffer a gnawing misery in the abdomen for the want of proper nourishment.
