revolver, gloves, blanket and saddle - they thought he was wounded - he jumped up behind an other fellow+ They out numbered our fellows and were better armed each one had two and some had four or five Navy revolvers, several had Carbines - Most of our boys just had their old muskets a few of them had revolvers - they couldent handle their muskets on horse back to do much good+ These fellows are said to belong to Quantrell's gang of guerillas from Misouri+ We got a dispatch here this morning that Bridgewater came onto them last night while they were encamped and killed four and captured 25 of their horses - heard since that he captured 17 that our boys had wounded - dont know whether there is any truth in the last report nor I dont know how it came + I am in hopes they will all be killed before they get out of Ky + Capt Horton hasent been ordered before a Court Martial yet - Col Sidell keeps sending for more evidence every two or three days - I dont know what he is after unless he intends to forward the charges with the evidence to the War Department and recommend Horton for dismissal - Hough and Green prefered charges against him way long in Dec and sent them to Head Quarters of the regt+ they wasted along time and came to the conclusion they were never going to
