I do not expect that we will have an Exibition as we expected, they will not let us have the church we will have an examination which I would as lief not have, there is two weeks more school I would not care if it was out now I am getting tired and would like to go up to Uncle Sols and help make sugar; by the way I don't believe that they are either comeing to see me or after me to go and see them (I mean Aunt Maria and Uncle Abner,) if they do not I just think it is real mean I received two letters today one from Libbie the other from Aunt Lib Hackney she has been very sick for the last two weeks, is better now had some kind of feever. Libbies letter confirmed my fears I like to know what fur your going to enter the Matrimonial State for? is not the State of Illinois good enough for you? it is for me and what is good for me, must be good for you. I don't know whether to let you cast yourself on the "Tempestuous sea" or not; but I suppose I will have to give up as it will be for your
