Carmichaels Pa May 12th 1865 Dear Brother & Sister I was at Town this evening and found a letter in box 9, which I brot home and read with pleasure content truly of interest to us as we learn in it that Sam Clark has really got a "better half" and from his talk must be going to settle down at once. Well all that is just as it should be and one thing to consider in settling down is do not be to anxious for the "Mammon" of the world for we learn from a Good source that it must perish. "First seek the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you" We have but little news of importance of a local kind, it seems the
