Prairie Land, June 25th.. 1865 Dear Aunt Tillie: "I take my pen in hand. to let you know we are all well and hope you are enjoying the same blessings". &etc. I just finished a letter to Curgus, and as Aunt Bell is still writing thought perhaps you would have no objections to hearing what we are and have been doing since we last wrote you. In the first place, Uncle Irv is at home, came yesterday morning just after we had eaten breakfast. Were paid off Friday and came down in the two O'clock train, after getting to Wenona, they (Will Kemp was with Irv) concluded to go to Mr. Colvins' and stay until morning. They slept a part of the forenoon, and after dinner with Grand-.father, Aunt Bell, and Jessie went to Wenona. Was a festival of some (Vertically, at head of page:-) they will be poor when she comes back. perhaps Aunt Bell will write some to you & she will tell you what I have not. I'm most entirely out of the way of writing letters anymore. seems the more I write the worse I get. no difference how much I have to tell I cant say it, Much love to all the folks. and please look over all errors, Your niece Bell.
