Burlington, Ia Apr 6, 1943. Dearest Daddy: - Rec'd your letter today, and missed writing you last night, as I was so tired, I just flopped into bed. I think you must be doing fine in your work. I knew you could do it O.K. It won't be long now until you will be through and home. It will just be wonderful, won't it? Just to have you all to ourselves for ten days. I am counting on staying home those days, unless they get in a pinch. You asked me how the bank acct. is? After I deducted the check for $41.88 & then deposited your check for $256.33, the balance is $533.52. Did I tell you that Lowell called and said they had sold 38 shares of Remington Rand at 15 pts? I went down & got the stock this afternoon and will take them to him in the morning. Do you think that made you much? They seem to be selling pretty well don't they? I paid the interest on the $250.00 note today, and had him make a copy of what we owe yet and it is tucked in this letter. It is still 4109.00 so we have a lot to pay off yet. There is just $9.00 left on that one note.
