Suppose his is across now - John has vacation on account of teachers meeting this PM & Fri so has grip packed to go on bus to Grandpa Rains & is quite elated - He is a live smart kid but he needs some discipline - I think it would be nice for him to join scouts - He has executive ability & instead of curbing it needs directing. He was quite enthused about a club he was organizing and guess he had to much Calhoun in it as it fell flat. I was much amused at the program or organization as charter shows the outline I will send it - Cliffie had cold & crosses than two sticks - but in school & Carol is OK. and writing sprawled out on floor - Just had nice letter from Ross from St Louis - First Ive heard for year - He tells of rationing &c is his son in law has shoe store & how people are hoarding & buying doz pr shoes & bolts of dress goods - Silly I think but every one can spend their money as they please. Margaret Iroine - lost a baby
