if we could use their bed & so Van & Marjorie slept up there. I guess the bed was pretty comfortable for they didn't come down until ten o'clock. We didn't go to sunday school or church either, as the kids all have colds & are cranky as can be and I sure feel like I am getting it too. I hope not but I feel so tired & my legs ache so. Last nite we had baked ham & today we had roast beef. We had a nice time with them & really believe they enjoyed it too. We took them to the train at 3:30 & it was a half hour late. They had reservations on it, so they were sure of a seat. Then we went up to Marie to get Marian loaded up and take her to Ft Madison to catch the train for California. Conrad was late getting there as usual and she darned near missed the train. She had two trunks & quite a bit of luggage. I sure hated to see her leave. She was a good egg. She had her faults, but was O.K. too. I think it will be quite a hard trip for her. She has to change at Los Angeles too. Claude rode down with us. We had three car loads to see her off. This has been a beautiful day
