Burlington, IA Mar. 8, 1943 Mon. nite. 10 PM. My Dearest:- Just a few lines to tell you I arrived home all O.K. about 4:30 a.m. The train was just a little late. Honey, I sure did enjoy myself while there & hope you did too. It really seems just like a dream that I was over there. I got to bed a little after 5 & finally got a little sleep & awakened at 7:00, so really I am just about all in. They got along fine while gone, except it is still smoking. I hope the part will soon show up. I am afraid it will be a long time though. The furnace man came night & morning & it was so nice & warm when I got home. Thank goodness for that. Mrs Wright called me tonight & wanted to know all about it. She leaves for Camp Custer a week from wed. She talked to me for a good half hour tonight. Marian is leaving sunday afternoon on the 5:10 train. I guess she has about all the furniture sold by now. The kids were all tickled with their sets. They all wrote you a nice letter which I will enclose. Also I will send the State Income tax blanks too. I believe I had better send mine to you also, since you made the others out. I have a very busy day in the
