Blanche, Nettie and I stayed down town to do some shopping last nite, as we heard Clothes rationing was going into effect at midnight last nite & went into Paul's Cafe to get something and eat first & Paul asked me about you & said for me to remember him to you & then before I went to leave, he asked if I would send you a couple of packages of cigarettes and so I took, them and I will send them to you. I thought that was quite nice of him don't you? He said to tell you to be safe & stop in to see him next time you are home. I bought a couple of wash dresses last nite but that is all. I guess the clothes rationing didn't go on today. At least I didn't hear anything about it. Mr Luyster's wife came last nite, from Hannibal & stayed all nite with him. I guess the other man went home last nite. She seems real nice. I ordered 4 ton of coal for tomorrow. I imagine we will use that much more anyway don't you? I sure hate to pay out that much again. Kids are all O.K. Clifford started a letter "to" you, but guess he didn't get it finished. The other two have been on the go all day and haven t had time. Well tomorrow is the first day of march so the winter can't last so much longer can it? Darling I am so lonesome for you. It has been two months since I have seen
