Burlington, Ia Feb. 14, 1943 My Dearest:- It is five o'clock & have thought all day I would find time to write you, but there is so much to be done on sunday. When I am gone all week, I don't like to ask your mother to do a lot of things, like cleaning the ice box and a lot of little things that just keep me busy all day long. We went to S.S. this morning & then came home afterwards. Marion and the boys were there we took them home. She said she hadn't had any luck selling the house yet. So if they cant't sell that new one, I doubt if there is any chance of selling ours. She says Ed arrived tuesday & is crazy about California. He got a job on wed. at an airplane factory but, was going to look around & see if he saw anything that would fit him better. I will find out his address and send it to you. Marie hasn't heard from Mac for a while & is pretty worried. I don't blame her for they are surely fighting, I sure wish you were going to be here tonight. I am having Conrad's & Marie & Marion over for supper. I have the chickens that (Upper margin) P.S. I am enclosing some of the kids work & a Valentine from Carol, that she made at school.
