New Hartford Thu. March 9th/65 Quite cold and blustering. Read in Uncle Tom's Cabin. Wrote letter to Ed Needham Laura had a letter from Centre (?) A lamb got cast & died. Fri. Friday March 10th Went to town. Mrs Connors here to dinner. Picked wool off the sheep that died. Sat. March 11 1865 At home after dinner and cut wood. Jim Hornbeck (illegible) going to put his machine in our barn. Ed Twohig here & got receipt for Swaney Sund. 12th Dr Goodhue here. Pa went to meeting. Hannah wrote letters &c. quite a wind. Mon. 13. Got the 3 buggy wheels from John Davis. A barrell of a Bargain. 11.00. Sugar. [illegible] . School Election to vote tax for building School house. Snowed 3 P.M.
