Monday, May 30, 1864 Davenport Captain and [illegible] Went to Davenport to [present?] papers [illegible] mustered into U.S. Service Gen [illegible] Started for [illegible] Bought Dry goods [illegible] Tuesday 31 [illegible] rainy in the afternoon [illegible] mustered into U.S. service A.M and the balance were not muster in till June 1st there being 12 [illegible] boys rejected of our Company. [illegible] Wednesday, June 1 went to Camp McClellan with 1st and 2d [illegible] at 4 o clock am to draw our Company's uniform and equipment to [illegible]
