Carro Wednesday, June 8, 1864 Went to Miss. river to wash and changed shirt Recd orders to get dinner at 11 and [pack?] up by 12 o clock. our Co. with B, G, & K got on bord steamer G. W. Graham [illegible] for Memphis Tenn. at [2?] o clock arrived at Columbus Kenty. little after sundown Thursday 9 rather [illegible] Stopped on the Arkansas side [illegible] met 2 gunboats near [illegible] in line with equipments At roll call after Sundown Friday 10 arrived at Memphis in night. morn. marched off and eat breakfast in [illegible] when they were taken to camp some three miles East of Memphis. found some [illegible]
