Sunday, August 7, 1864 Lagrange No inspection [illegible] went down in the A.M. and washed his under clothes & washed my 2 shirts and one pr. Drawers Bought [illegible] shoes for $1.00, [illegible] Monday 8 detailed on Guard our post [illegible] bring with 4 men in Co A, [some?] of Co A's taken sick and went back to Quarters [illegible] stood till noon. Tuesday 9 relieved from Picket at 8 o'clock A.M. and helped carry [illegible] equipment read some in [illegible]
